Wedding Dance Choreography

Congratulations! You are getting married! You and your fiancée have no doubt spent numerous days discussing, planning and selecting the right venue for your most beautiful wedding celebration. You’ve the hall booked, caterer selected, you’ve visited multiple florists, had endless interviews with photographers and of course you’ve found THE perfect dress of your dreams! Now it is time to think of one of the most important moments of your celebration – the first dance. It is possible that you have some ideas of the song you’d like to dance to – maybe you’ve always known the perfect song, or you and your fiancée have selected one together, or maybe you haven’t found one yet? Don’t worry, the wedding dance choreography experts at Vadim Mostovoy Dance Studio will be thrilled to help you! We are so passionate about dance, and even more passionate about working with happy couples on the wedding dance choreography for their first dance.

During your first visit to Vadim Mostovoy Dance Studios you will sit down with one of our friendly dance instructors and discuss everything, such as timelines, song choices, your dance skill levels, your ideal dance style, and the overall energy you wish to portray in your first dance.

Once we’ve understood your vision, we can all decide on a dance style, such as a sensual rumba, elegant waltz, spicy Tango, or maybe something totally unique, such as a mix of cha-cha-cha and mirengue? First thing’s first, we need to know how much time we have before the big day. Learning a routine for which we have 3 months, versus a routine that needs to be learnt in 2 weeks will be just a little different, as you will agree. However it all depends on your skill level and the amount of time the two of you have to dedicate to practice.

Our dance instructors will go through some steps and learn the basics of moving and following on the dance floor, and maybe even transition to some simple spins, that you and your partner will enjoy. Once the two of you get more comfortable with this step we will take it further, and teach more unique variations and even longer dance sequences. Next lessons will be spent on focusing learning safe spins and dips, polishing the moves, putting the entire routine together, and of course practicing the entire dance. With each new lesson of wedding dance choreography the two of you will find it more fun and engaging, and soon your own unique style will shine through your dance routines.
