About Vadim

Vadim Mostovoy has been dancing competitively since 1981. He is a world-class professional dancer, award-winning performer, International 10-dance Champion, Director of Ballroom Dancer’s Federation International and World Championship Adjudicator.

Vadim was born in Odessa, Ukraine and has started dancing since he was 8 years old, and has enjoyed a successful dance career along with his dance partner. After dancing together for 5 years, the two got married and danced their way to becoming Ukrainian representatives at the world 10- Dance competitions. The love and dedication to dancing has led them to achieve many prestigious dance titles, including that of World Dance Champions.

Among the many other competitions and accolades that Vadim competed in included 10-Dance at the Italian Open in 1995, the Krakow 10-Dance Cup also in 1995, and the Russian Open in both 1994 and 1995. The couple was also the runners up in the Romanian Open Championships in 1994. After successfully running three dance studios in Ukraine, the pair has immigrated to Canada in 1996 to start a new life with a baby on the way. In order to continue perfecting their dancing skills, while living in Canada, Vadim and his partner continued travelling to Italy, Germany and England to learn from various top dancing coaches and compete in international tournaments.

In 2004, they became members of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA), judges of different dances such as smooth, rhythm, Latin and standard dances. Vadim and his partner, then became international judges, evaluating the performance of rising dance stars at numerous dance competitions around the world.

In 2007, Vadim became the National Director of Ballroom Dancers' Federation International (Canada) Inc and Dance Sport Director of the Canadian Dancesport Federation (CDF), and continues to be the active member of CDF. Currently, holds a title of Six-Time Representative to the World Professional 10 Dance championships, as well as Standard and Classic Showdance.

The passion for dance has led Vadim to open up Vadim Mostovoy Dance Studios situated in two locations within Toronto and servicing the GTA. The studio teaches all kinds of dances and various types of dance programs, offering his clients the advantage of learning from a top dancer, recognized globally for numerous achievements in the world of dance.

After many years of competition, Vadim continues his career as an active World Championship Adjudicator, a professional dance trainer, and occasionally as a dancer in various show performances.
